A recap of the past week
Hello all. Sorry I haven't been posting recently. I was on vacation for 10 days. HAD AN AMAZING TIME!!!
Just a few things.
I started a Facebook profile. I already have about 30 people on my friends list. The site seems like way too much time and effort. I posted my pics from the cruise, but there are so many people commenting and posting its tough to keep up.
I got into an accident on Thurs. I was pulling out of a parking spot and a woman drove by I stopped as she passed. After she passed I continued pulling out. All the sudden, she decided to in revers and hit the back bumper of my car leaving a nice size dent. I called the police, filed a report. No one was injured, but this is just frustrating. Now I just have to wait and hear how liable she is and how much I'm going to have to pay to get my car fixed. Fortunately, my car is still drivable, the damage was just to the bumper, but it is one new expense that we did not need.
We are starting to do some major work to the house. We planned on painting a few rooms and getting new tiling done in the kitchen. While we were getting the paint we checked on the granite counter tops. We planned on getting that project done next year. HOWEVER, we see that they have a sale going on for 4 days only. %10 any counter top, PLUS $300 off, PLUS a free sink PLUS, no payments for 12 months on the Home Depot card. So we are getting the counter tops done this summer as well. WOO HOO
I might be getting a new job soon. More details on that soon.
That is all for now. I will update you on anything new developments.

Back From vacation
Hello all,
We returned from our cruise on Monday and I have to tell you it was an AMAZING experience. Christian and I took a 9 day cruise down to the Caribbean, leaving from NYC. We had taken this cruise before, same boat same route but this time we planned ahead.
The first time we went we had nothing planned, other than the cruise itself. When we got to the ports we were on our own.
THIS TIME, we planned excursions at each of the ports (except for one). They were perfect. We knew what were doing and where we were going. We didn't have to worry about getting lost and we didn't have to worry about missing the boat because if the excursion is booked through Princess Cruises and it runs late, the boat it guaranteed to wait for you. So we could enjoy everything we did.
We are already planning to go again next year.

Vacation
Hello all,
I just got back from vacation...and boy are my arms tired. LOL We went to Provincetown MA for a week. So much happened that it's going to be tough to get in everything that happened. But i wanted to write in that we had a great time and that i will be trying to post some pics from the week.
On another note I had to take C to the emergency room this morning. 3:30 am he wakes up complaining of pains in his groin and back. After about 30 min he was still in pain and i had to drive him to the hospital. He got checked in and was able to see the nurse right away. The doctor started by taking his temp and vital signs. He was alive so that was a plus.
Next she asked what was wrong, and he said he had pain in his groin and back. The nurse administered a cafita (spell check had no idea either). I cringed and was probably in more pain that C was. It looked quite painful. I can't figure out how people can do that for sexaul pleasure...don't ask.
After that fun she took blood and set him up with an IV. The little urine she was able to get they were able to test and find that C was dehydrated. Because of it his urine was coming out almost red. So they set him up with an IV drip to get some fluids back into his body.
After that they set him up with a Kat scan to find out what might be causing the pain. They found out that he had a very very VERY small stone in his bladder. They gave him a few meds and sent us on our way. We got there at 4ish..left around 9. Not bad for a hospital. :)
So no surgery is needed, as long as he keeps drinking fluids he should not have a problem passing the stone.
So we came home, went to bed for another 4 hours and then started our day at 1 in the afternoon. And you wonder why I didn't want to come home.

I need a vacation
O man what a day. Not only have i worked the past 2 days 12 hours each day..but they were slow. Unbearably slow. I spoke to hardly anyone and sold even less. It was awful.
Today has been a bit busier, but the weather has made it hell. I'm MOD (manager on duty) today so everyone who has a problem calls me. The weather really sucked today and most of the trains into the city were shut down. Anyone traveling in from Brooklyn or Queens were stranded. I must have at least 15 agents call me to tell me they were going to be late. This was starting at 5 30 this morning. I'll never complain about the bus again. I got in later than normal, but at least i got in on time. So I'm playing phone tag, between my boss and the agents trying to figure out who is going to come in when. It's been bad. Fortunately the storm passed and its sunny out now so there should be no problem for the afternoon shifts.
And even if there is, who cares im off at 2. :-D
On top of that, my boss calls to find out why I did so little business (under a grand) the past 2 days. He neglects to mention the 15 thousand in sales I did on Saturday. That slipped his mind. Whatever..again another reason i need to get away from here for a bit.
This day is just the icing on the cake to remind me of why the heck i need a vacation. And its only 11am. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Vacation Recap
Hello all. Well I have been on vacation since Wed. and it's been a very good, very busy week.
Wed: My first day of vacation, I had to go into the city for a meeting. Tues I tell my boss that I'm not going anywhere on vacation so he asks me if i can come in for the meeting. So 9am I'm up and on my way to the city. Fortunately, I didn't have to get all dressed up. We did a lot.
Backtracking-The guy who was in charge of the training was a total asshole and very bad and what he did, was let go last week. So we are in the process of revamping everything the guy did.
So the meeting was to chat and change the training program for new agents. It was extremly productive and worth the trek into the city.
Not much of anything else to report, except I was able to start my vacation. :)
Thurs: I was produtive to work around the house. Cleaning, shopping, etc. Thursday night i went for my dance classes. Always a fun evening i really enjoy it.
Friday: What did I do on Friday...hmmm? O yeah i remeber. C wasn't feeling so well so he stayed home for a the day. A nice 4 day weekend for him. I still dont remeber what we did, but we did something. I'll have to get back to you.
O O O I remeber. That evening I went to celebrate my co workers b-day in the city. We we all met up at a kareoke bar and just had a fantastic time. :) Stayed out till after midnight. C coulnt't make it because he didn't want to risk getting sicker than he was.
Saturday: C spent the day cleaning and going to the gym, you know, normal daily stuff. We went to visit my sister and spend the evening with her. She has been feeling a little, ok A LOT, bummed because of whats going on and asked us to come visit. I decided to stop and say hello to mom and dad and give mom her b-day gift. We ended up spending the entire night up with the parents. We ordered pizza and played The Price is Right. It was a nice visit with the family.
Sunday: Our friend Patrick came over and we went out for the day. Out for breakfast, then shopping and Freehold Mall, then out to dinner. We had our first time experience at the "The Christmas Shop" Great stuff, very reasonably priced. All around productive day.
Monday: Woke up late. C was off because of the holiday so we decided to tackle the sofa. One of the wooden slats was broken so we called to find out if Ashley Furniture could fix it. $30 and hour to just come and see what was wrong. Approx $300 for the piece and 3-4 hours of labor. F this, we thought and we fixed it ourself. About an hour later it was fixed, no new parts needed. People are such rip offs, the couch itself only cost $600 new.
After that C had schoolwork to tackle so he spend the afternoon and evening doing that. I went to a gamers meeting for the evening. We sat around and played games for about 5 hours. It was fun, as always.
Today: I'm taking my car to the Saturn dealership to get it fixed, clean around the house and tonight I am going to see "In the Heights" in New York. I'll let you know how the night goes.

Wicked couple of days
Hello all. I will have my net back at home tomorrow, so things will be half way back to normal (the cable gets connected sometime next week).
* C and I have done our first project on te house....putting up a new screen door. There wasn't one originally,so we had to put one up. It was the biggest disaster ive ever seen. We put up all the molding and we go to put up the door..and we put it up backwards. So then we took down the door and before putting it back up we made sure the molding would fit. It fit but now the door was a 1/2 inch too big and the door would not close.
We end up going back to HD and buying a saw to cut away about a 1/2 of the doors outer molding so the screen door would fit. (the part we cut would be covered by the screen door molding anyway). But this simple project was turning out to be a pain. 9pm rolls by and we get the molding up. We now have to change the holes in the door to fit the molding the correct way. That part of the project will be done on friday.
AHHHH the joys of home ownership. :) That's really been the only problems we've had with the house....Yeah i know its only been a week that we've been there.
* My computer at work has been down since Monday. I have had to sit here for hours on end with nothing to do. It's been hell, but it should be fixed by, at the latest, next week. The company was nice enough to lend me a laptop for the time im here to look stuff up. (aka surf the net and update my LJ)
*We have been doing a lot of entertaining the past few weekends. Having people over is a lot of fun, esp when you have the room to entertain them.
* It's about 2 weeks and counting till we go on vacation. YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!. I am really looking forward to getting away for a while and just relaxing. I think we need it after the move and all the other shit going on.
